Bare Compare

Refund Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026. Effective from the date of publication.

Ask and you will get one, within 14 days of purchase. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not try to talk you out of it. Write to support@barecompare.app.

Bare Compare has a full 30-day trial, so almost nobody should ever need this page. It exists for the case where something went wrong after you paid.

1. The 14-day change of mind

If you ask within 14 days of your purchase, we will approve a full refund. No reason is required.

Fourteen days rather than thirty is a deliberate choice, and here is the reasoning so it does not look arbitrary: the software already comes with a complete 30-day trial in which nothing is disabled. Evaluation is what the trial is for. The refund window is for regret, a duplicate purchase, or something not working as we described it — and for those, fourteen days is plenty.

After 14 days we will still read your email and we will still consider it. A perpetual licence that turns out to be unusable on your machine is our problem whenever you discover it, and we would rather refund you than have you feel cheated.

2. Who actually issues the refund

Bare Compare is sold through Stripe, which acts as the seller of record. Your purchase contract is with Stripe, your receipt comes from Stripe, and the refund is paid by Stripe back to the payment method you used.

This has one practical consequence worth knowing before it surprises you: your card or bank statement may show the transaction as being with Stripe or with Link rather than with Bare Compare or Fruit Salad Tech. That is normal and is not a sign that something has gone wrong.

You can approach either of us. Writing to support@barecompare.app is usually the faster route, because we can look up your licence and confirm your purchase directly. Stripe also provides buyer support for the transaction itself and can be contacted independently of us.

3. How long it takes

We aim to approve refund requests within two business days of receiving them. Once approved, how long the money takes to reach you is a matter for Stripe and your bank — typically a few business days, occasionally longer for international cards. We have no ability to speed that part up.

4. What happens to your licence

A refunded licence key stops being a licence you are entitled to use. Bare Compare validates offline and will not detect the refund, so nothing will visibly change on your computer — but please uninstall it or stop using it, in the same way you would return something you had been refunded for.

We do not revoke refunded keys as a matter of course. Revocation exists for keys shared publicly, not as a punishment for changing your mind.

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page limits rights you have under law. They sit alongside this policy, not underneath it:

6. Contact
